Rudolf F. de Soet 

Rudolf de Soet has recently retired. Yet, he is on the board as member or chairman of various foundations and associations. Mostly in the area of charity.

Before being retired he was managing director of A&O Pension Services, a Dutch pension fund services company. It collected annually half a billion euro of pension premiums from some 200,000 participants and had for these participants some € 8 billion in assets under investment.

Prior to this, he worked for the stock exchanges of Euronext as member of the Executive Committee and Head of the derivatives (options and futures) markets of Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels. Before that, was member of the Board of Amsterdam Exchanges (AEX) the successor company and the result of a merger between the Amsterdam Stock Exchange and the European Options Exchange in Amsterdam.

Before Rudolf de Soet joined the exchange industry, he worked for Shell in the financial organisation and its metals subsidiary Billiton Suriname as Financial Controller.

For blood transfusion, he is currently Treasurer of the Foundation Transfusion Medicine, and for two terms Treasurer for the Foundation of ISBT. Prior to these functions, Rudolf de Soet was Treasurer of the local Organizing Committee, which organized the International ISBT congress in 1994 in Amsterdam.

Rudolf de Soet holds a degree in law (Leiden University, The Netherlands) and business administration (IMD Lausanne, Switzerland).
